I am Dr. Jingjing Lin, holding a PhD in Communication Sciences from Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Switzerland. After completing my doctoral studies, I conducted postdoctoral research at Kyoto University and subsequently served as an Assistant Professor for four years at Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan, focusing on research and practice in the field of educational technology. During this time, I led the development of a Moodle- and Mahara- based learning management system, trained faculty in online teaching, and explored pedagogical strategies such as creation-based learning and online journal clubs for research training. I also organized ten entrepreneurship education webinars.

Inspired by constructionism’s make-to-learn ethos, I design, build, and evaluate educational technologies that open “learning by making” to diverse fields. As a qualitative researcher, I draw on interviews, observations, case studies, and design-based research to generate deep, contextual insights that inform each design cycle. I apply design thinking in higher education settings to develop technology-enhanced learning with technologies spanning AI, MOOCs, LMSs, learning analytics, and online journal clubs. My research practice spans multiple fields of education, including business, STEM, medical, tourism and hospitality, and entrepreneurship.

Over the years, I have proposed several original models and conceptual frameworks, including a MOOC component framework, the CLEAR pedagogy model, the YEEPE framework for youth entrepreneurship education, and a strategic framework for implementing learning analytics.

Since 2019, I have independently led research projects as Principal Investigator, securing approximately 420,000 RMB in competitive funding. My research outcomes include ten journal articles in international peer-reviewed publications and fifteen papers presented at global academic conferences. I have received several honors for my work, including the Japan Moodle Innovation Award, the Best Open Course Award, and a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

In addition to research, I am an active member of the IEEE and AERA, and previously served on the IEEE Asia-Pacific Education Activities Committee. I also founded the academic community ResearchIC.com, through which I have organized 23 international online journal club events involving 23 educational researchers from 21 universities across 14 countries, and over 186 registered participants. These activities demonstrate my commitment to academic knowledge sharing and public engagement on a global scale.
